CULFORD, a parish in the hundred of BLACKBOURN, county of SUFFOLK, 4 miles (N. N. W.) from Bury St. Edmund's, containing 291 inhabitants. The living is a discharged rectory, with those of Ingham and Timworth consolidated, in the archdeaconry of Sudbury, and diocese of Norwich, rated in the king's books at £8, and in the patronage of R. B. De Bevoir, Esq. The church is dedicated to St. Mary. The navigable river Larkf runs through the parish.
