DALWOOD, a chapelry in the parish of STOCKLAND,
within the liberty of FORDINGTON, Dorchester
division of the county of DORSET, though locally in
the hundred of Axminster, county of Devon, 3 miles
(W.N.W.) from Axminster, containing 522 inhabitants.
The chapel is dedicated to St. Peter. A fair is held on
the Wednesday after August 24th.
