DINDER, a parish in the hundred of WELLSFORUM,
county of SOMERSET, 2 miles (E. S. E.) from
Wells, containing 175 inhabitants. The living is a rectory,
in the peculiar jurisdiction of the Dean of Wells,
rated in the king's books at £2. 10. 7., endowed with
£200 private benefaction, and £400 royal bounty, and in
the patronage of the Bishop of Bath and Wells. The
church is dedicated to St. Michael.
