DUNHAM, a township in the parish of THORNTON,
second division of the hundred of EDDISBURY, county
palatine of CHESTER, 5 miles (S. W.) from Frodsham,
containing 306 inhabitants. The Duke of Bridgewater's
canal passes near this place. There is a trifling bequest
for the education of children.
