EDLASTON, a parish in the hundred of APPLETREE,
county of DERBY, 2 miles (S.) from Ashbourn, containing,
with Wyaston, 277 inhabitants. The living is
a discharged rectory, in the archdeaconry of Derby,
and diocese of Lichfield and Coventry, rated in the
king's books at £ 3. 18. 4., and in the patronage of
the Dean of Lincoln. The church is dedicated to St.
James.
