EDLINGTON, a parish in the northern division of
the wapentake of GARTREE, parts of LINDSEY, county
of LINCOLN, 85 miles (N. W.) from Horncastle, containing
263 inhabitants. The living is a discharged vicarage,
in the archdeaconry and diocese of Lincoln, rated
in the king's books at £8. 4. 7., and in the patronage
of the Crown. The church is dedicated to St. Helen.
