ELKINGTON (NORTH), a parish in the Wold division of the hundred of LOUTH-ESKE, parts of LINDSEY, county of LINCOLN, 4 miles (N.tV.) from Louth, containing 74 inhabitants. The living is a discharged vicarage, in the archdeaconry and diocese of Lincoln, rated in the king's books at £4. 19 4., and endowed with £600 royal bounty. The Rev. William Smyth, Jun. was patron in 1818. The church is dedicated to St. Helen.
