EMNETH, a parish in the Marshland division of
the hundred of FREEBRIDGE, county of NORFOLK, 2
miles (S. E.byE.) from Wisbeach, containing 970 inhabitants.
The living is a perpetual curacy, annexed to
the rectory and vicarage of Elm, in the peculiar jurisdiction
of the Bishop of Ely. The church is dedicated
to St. Edmund.
