EYE, a parish in the liberty of PETERBOROUGH, county of NORTHAMPTON, 3 miles (N.B.) from Peterborough, containing 747 inhabitants. The living is a perpetual curacy, in the archdeaconry of Northampton, and diocese of Peterborough, endowed with £200 private benefaction, £400 royal bounty, and £600 parliamentary grant, and in the patronage of the Bishop of Peterborough. The church is dedicated to St. Matthew. There is a place of worship for Wesleyan Methodists.
