FARFORTH, a parish in the Wold division of the hundred of LOUTH-ESKE, parts of LINDSEY, county of LINCOLN, 6 miles (S. by W.) from Louth, containing, with Maiden-Well, 94 inhabitants. The living is a discharged rectory, with the vicarage of Maiden-Well, united in 1753 to the rectory of Ruckland, in the archdeaconry and diocese of Lincoln, rated in the king's books at £6. 6. 8. The church is dedicated to St. Peter.
