FARNLEY, a chapelry in that part of the parish of ST-PETER-LEEDS, which is within the liberty of LEEDS, though locally in the wapentake of Morley, West riding of the county of YORK, 3 miles (W. by S.) from Leeds, containing 1332 inhabitants. The living is 4 perpetual curacy, in the archdeaconry and diocese of York, endowed with £1000 private benefaction, £800 royal bounty, and £600 parliamentary grant, and in the patronage of the Vicar of Leeds.
