FINCHAM, a parish in the hundred of CLACKCLOSE, county of NORFOLK, 5 miles (E. N. E,) from Downham- Market, containing 708 inhabitants. It formerly comprised two parishes; St. Martin's, a discharged vicarage, and St. Michael's, a discharged rectory, in the archdeaconry of Norfolk, and diocese of Norwich, now con-, solidated, rated jointly in the king's books at £ 17 6. 8, and in the patronage of the Crown and the Rev. R. Forby, alternately. There is a place of worship for Wesleyan Methodists. A fair for horses and toys is held on March 3rd, and there is a show of horses on August 9th.
