FINMERE, a parish in the hundred of PLOUGHLEY,
county of OXFORD, 8 miles (N. E. by N.) from Bicester,
containing 395 inhabitants. The living is a rectory, in
the archdeaconry and diocese of Oxford, rated in the
Icing's books at £8. 9. 4., and in the patronage of the
Duke of Buckingham. The church is dedicated to St.
Michael. The river Ouse runs through the parish.
