GARVESTONE, a parish in the hundred of MITFORD,
county of NORFOLK, 5 miles (S. S. E.) from East
Dereham, containing 330 inhabitants. The living ig, a
discharged rectory, in the archdeaconry and diocese of
Norwich, rated in the king's books at £7. 16. Sir ,W.
Clayton, Bart, was patron in 1828. The church is dedicated
to St. Margaret.
