GLAPWELL, a township partly in the parish of
BOLSOVER, hundred of SCARSDALE, county of DERBY,
8 miles (N.W.) from Mansfield, containing 110 inha-
bitants. Here was formerly a chapel, which in 1240
belonged to Darley abbey, but of which no later account
exists than in 1511.
