GOSBERTON, a parish in the wapentake of KIRTON,
parts of HOLLAND, county of LINCOLN, 6 miles
(N. by W.) from Spalding, containing 1618 inhabitants.
The living is a discharged vicarage, in the archdeaconry
and diocese of Lincoln, endowed with £200 private benefaction,
£200 royal bounty, and £400 parliamentary
grant, and in the patronage of the Dean and Chapter of
Lincoln. The church is dedicated to St. Peter and St. Paul.
