GOXHILL, a parish in the northern division of the
wapentake of YARBOROUGH, parts of LINDSEY, county
of LINCOLN, 5 miles (E. by S.) from Barton upon
Humber, containing 736 inhabitants. The living is a
discharged vicarage, in the archdeaconry and diocese of
Lincoln, rated in the king's books at £14.18. 4., endowed
with £200 royal bounty, and in the patronage of the
Crown. The church is dedicated to All Saints. There
is a place of worship -for Wesleyan Methodists.
