GRASSTHORPE, a township in the parish of
MARNHAM, northern division of the wapentake of
THURGARTON, county of NOTTINGHAM, 4miles (S.E.
by B.) from Tuxford, containing 97 inhabitants. An
ancient chapel, dedicated to St. James, has been converted
into a dwelling-house.
