GREINTON, a parish in the hundred of WHITLEY,
county of SOMERSET, 65 miles (W. S. W.) from Glastonbury,
containing 237 inhabitants. The living is a
discharged rectory, in the archdeaconry of Wells, and
diocese of Bathvand Wells, rated in the king's books
at £13. 0. 10. S. Kekewich, Esq. was patron in 1800.
The church is dedicated to St. Michael.
