GRENDON, a parish in the hundred of WYMERSLEY, county of NORTHAMPTON, 65 miles (S. by W.) from Wellingborough, containing 597 inhabitants. The living is a discharged vicarage, in the archdeaconry of Northampton, and diocese of Peterborough, rated in the king's books at £8, endowed with £400 private benefaction, £400 royal bounty, and £400 parliamentary grant, and in the patronage of the Master and Fellows t of Trinity College, Cambridge. The church is dedi- cated to St. Mary.
