GROVE, a parish in the hundred of COTTESLOE, county
of BUCKINGHAM, 1 miles (S.) from Leighton-Buzzard,
containing 18 inhabitants. The living is a discharged
rectory, in the archdeaconry of Buckingham, and diocese
of Lincoln, rated in the king's books at £4. 13. 4.,
endowed with £ 8 per annum private benefaction, and
£200 royal bounty. The Earl of Chesterfield was
patron in 1799. The Grand Junction canal passes
through the parish.
