HACKTHORN, a parish in the eastern division of the wapentake of ASLACOE, parts of LINPSEY, county of LINCOLN, 8 miles (N. by E.) from Lincoln, containing 256 inhabitants. The living is a discharged vicarage, in the archdeaconry of Stow, and diocese of Lincoln, rated in the king's books at £4, endowed with £400 royal bounty. R. Cracroft, Esq. was patron in 1827. The church is dedicated to St. Michael.
