HANNEY (EAST), a township in the parish of
WEST-HANNEY, partly in the hundred of OCK, but
chiefly in the hundred of WANTAGE, county of BERKS,
3 miles (N. N. E.) from Wantage, containing 587 inhabitants.
There is a trifling endowment for teaching
poor children.
