HARROWDEN (GREAT), a parish in the hundred of ORLINGBURY, county of NORTHAMPTON, 2 miles (N.N.W.) from Wellingborough, containing 140 inhabitants. The living is a discharged vicarage, with which that of Little Harrowden is united, in the archdeaconry of Northampton, and diocese of Peterborough, rated jointly in the king's books at £13. 3. 8., and endowed with £200 private benefaction, and £200 royal bounty. Earl FitzWilliam was patron in 1808. The church is dedicated to All Saints.
