HATCH (WEST), a parish in the northern division
of the hundred of CURRY, county of SOMERSET, 4
miles (s. E. by E.) from Taunton, containing 367 inha
bitants. The living is a perpetual curacy, annexed to th
vicarage of North Curry, in the peculiar jurisdiction
of the Dean and Chapter of Wells, endowed with £200
private benefaction.
