HAWERBY, a parish in the wapentake of BRADLEY-HAVERSTOE,
parts of LINDSEY, county of LINCOLN,
10 miles (N.N.W.) from Louth, containing, with the
parish of Beesby, 55 inhabitants. The living is a discharged
rectory with that of Beesby consolidated, in
the ai-chdeaconry and diocese of Lincoln, rated in the
king's books at £5. 7. H., endowed with £200 private
benefaction, and £200 royal bounty. The church is
dedicated to St. Margaret.
