county of ESSEX, 1 mile (N. W.) from Rochford,
containing 362 inhabitants. The living is a rectory, in
the archdeaconry of Essex, and diocese of London,
rated in the king's books at £13. 6. 8. -Bristow,
Esq. was patron in 1791. The church is dedicated to
St. Mary.
