HEATH, or HETHE, a parish in the hundred of
PLOUGHLEY, county of OXFORD, 4miles (N. byE.) from
Bicester, containing 350 inhabitants. The living is
a rectory, in the archdeaconry and diocese of Oxford,
rated in the king's books at £7. 9. 4., and in the patronage
of the Crown. The church is dedicated to St.
George and St. Edmund, There is a place of worship
for Wesleyan Methodists.
