HEMINGTON, a parish in the hundred of POLEBROOKE,
county of NORTHAMPTON, 5 miles (E. $. E.)
from Oundle, containing 134 inhabitants. The living
is a discharged vicarage, in the archdeaconry of Northampton,
and diocese of Peterborough, rated in the
king's books at £6. 9. 7. Lord Montagu was patron
in 1794. The church is dedicated to St. Peter and St.
Paul.
