HETHEL, a parish in the hundred of HUMBLEYARD,
county of NORFOLK, 4 miles (E. by S.) from Wy-
mondham, containing 209 inhabitants. The living is a
rectory, in the archdeaconry of Norfolk, and diocese of
Norwich, rated in the king's books at £ 10. Sir Thomas
Beevor, Bart, was patron in 1792. The church is dedicated
to All Saints.
