HILTON, a township in that part of the parish of WOLVERHAMPTON which is in the eastern division of the hundred of CUTTLESTONE, county of STAFFORD, 4 miles (N.E. byN.) from Wolverhampton, containing 55 inhabitants. Here was anciently a chapel, which was dedicated to St. John the Baptist, but it has been demolished.
