HOATH, a parish in the hundred of BLEANGATE, lathe of ST-AUGUSTINE, county of KENT, 5 miles (N.E.) from Canterbury, containing 348 inhabitants. The living is a perpetual curacy, annexed to the vicarage of Reculver, in the peculiar jurisdiction of the Archbishop of Canterbury. The church, dedicated to the Holy Cross, is principally in the early style of English architecture.
