lathe of AYLESFORD, county of KENT, 6 miles (N.E.
by N.) from Rochester, containing 286 inhabitants. The
living is a rectory, in the archdeaconry and diocese of
Rochester, rated in the king's books at & 16. 12. 1., and
in the patronage of the Rev. R. Burt. It possesses
the right of nominating one poor person to Cobham
College.
