HORSLEY (WEST), a parish in the second division of the hundred of WOKING, county of SURREY, 6 miles (W. S, W.) from Leatherhead, containing 611 inhabitants. The living is a rectory, in the archdeaconry of Surrey, and diocese of Winchester, rated in the king's books at £22. 17. 1. H. P. Weston, Esq. was patron in 1816. The church is dedicated to St. Mary. A Sunday school was founded in 1813, and endowed by the Rev. Weston Fullerton, with £600; the children are taught on the National system.
