HUNSONBY, a township in the parish of ADDINGHAM,
LEATH ward, county of CUMBERLAND, 7 miles
(N. E.) from Penrith, containing, with the township of
Winskill, 151 inhabitants. There is a place of worship
for Wesleyan Methodists. Mr. Joseph Hutchinson, in
1726, devised an estate at Gartree, now let for £40 a
year, for teaching children.
