INGOLDMELLS, a parish in the Marsh division
of the wapentake of CANDLESHOE, parts of LINDSEY,
county of LINCOLN, 9 miles (S.E. by E.) from Alford
containing 155 inhabitants. The living is a discharged
rectory, in the archdeaconry and diocese of Lincoln,
rated in the king's books at £23. 10. 2. Miss Button
was patroness in 1817. The church is dedicated to St.
Peter and St. Paul.
