KELLING, a parish in the hundred of HOLT,
county of NORFOLK, 2 miles (N. by E.) from Holt,
containing 163 inhabitants. The living is a discharged
rectory, in the archdeaconry and diocese of Norwich,
rated in the king's books at £ 12, and in the patronage
of Mrs. Girdlestone. The church is dedicated to St.
Mary. There is a mineral spring in the parish.
