KIRSTEAD, a parish in the hundred of LODDON,
county of NORFOLK, 7 miles (N. N. W.) from Bungay,
containing 230 inhabitants. The living is a rectory, with
that of Langhale, in the archdeaconry of Norfolk, and
diocese of Norwich, rated in the king's books at £10,
and in the patronage of the Master and Fellows of
Caius College, Cambridge. The church is dedicated to
St. Margaret.
