KISLINGBURY, a parish in the hundred of NOBOTTLEGROVE, county of NORTHAMPTON, 3 miles (W. by S.) from Northampton, containing 643 inhabitants. The living is a rectory, in the archdeaconry of Northampton, and diocese of Peterborough, rated in the king's books at A18. 9. 7., and in the patronage of Mrs. Hughes. . The church, dedicated to St. Luke, has some portions in the decorated style, an embattled tower surmounted by a spire, and a fine octagonal font.. There is a place of worship for Baptists. A considerable annual income, the produce of divers benefactions, is applied in instructing and apprenticing children.
