LAUGHTON, a parish in the wapentake of CORRINGHAM, parts of LINDSEY, county of LINCOLN, comprising the township of Laughton, and the hamlet of Wildsworth, and containing 422 inhabitants, of which number, 319 are in the township of Laughton, 6 miles (N. E. by N.) from Gainsborough. The living is a vicarage, in the archdeaconry of Stow, and diocese of Lincoln, rated in the king's books at £12. The Marchioness of Hertford was patroness in 1820. The church is dedicated to All Saints. There is a place of worship for Wesleyan Methodists.
