LAVINGTON, otherwise LINTON, a parish in the wapentake of BELTISLOE, parts of KESTEVEN, county of LINCOLN, 6 miles (N. N. E.) from Corby, comprising the township of Osgodby, and the hamlets of Hanby and Keisby, and containing 330 inhabitants. The living is a rectory, in the archdeaconry and diocese of Lincoln, rated in the king's books at £ 14. 7 1. Sir G. Heathcote, Bart, was patron in 1824. The church is dedicated to St. Peter.
