LEAP, a tything in the parish of EXBURY, in that part of the hundred of BISHOP'S-WALTHAM which is in the New Forest (East) division of the county of SOUTHAMPTON, 11 miles (E. by N.) from Lymington. The population is returned with the parish. The village, being nearly opposite to Cowes, is the common place of embarkation for the Isle of Wight from this part of Hampshire.
