LECK, a chapelry in the parish of TUNSTALL, hundred of LONSDALE, south of the sands, county palatine of LANCASTER, 2 miles (S.E. byE.) from Kirkby-Lonsdale, containing 284 inhabitants. The living is a perpetual curacy, in the archdeaconry of Richmond, and diocese of Chester, endowed with £200 private benefaction, £600 royal bounty, and £300 parliamentary grant, and in the patronage of the Rector of Tunstall.
