LEGSBY, a parish in the western division of the wapentake of WRAGGOE, parts of LINDSEY, county of LINCOLN, 3 miles (S. E.) from Market-Raisen, containing 231 inhabitants. The living is a discharged vicarage, in the archdeaconry and diocese of Lincoln, rated in the king's books at £6. 4. 2. Sir H. Nelthorpe, Bart, was patron in 1819. The church is dedicated to St. Thomas the Apostle.
