LILBURN (WEST), a township in the parish of
EGLINGHAM, northern division of COCIUETDALE ward,
county of NORTHUMBERLAND, 3 miles (S. E. byE.)
from Wooler, containing 171 inhabitants. At the west
end of the village there are some remains of an ancient
mansion and tower, likewise of a chapel of ease.
