LINBRIGGS, a township in the parish of ALLENTON,
western division of COQUETDALE ward, county of
NORTHUMBERLAND, 11 miles (W. by N.) from Rothbury,
containing 70 inhabitants. The river Coquet, near
where the Ridlee bourne empties itself into it, is crossed
by a bridge: several fine brooks run through the glens in
this neighbourhood, and terminate in the river.
