LLANTHONY-ABBEY, a chapelry in the upper
division of the parish of CWMYOY, lower division of the
hundred of ABERGAVENNY, county of MONMOUTH, 10
miles (N. by W.) from Abergavenny. The population
is returned with the parish. Here was formerly a priory
of Black canons, for an account of which see Cwmyoy.
