LLANVAIR-KILGIDIN, a parish in the upper
division of the hundred of ABERGAVENNY, county of
MONMOUTH, 5 miles (N. by W.) from Usk, containing
226 inhabitants. The living is a rectory, in the archdeaconry
and diocese of Llandaff, rated in the king's
books at £5. 1. 10. Sir C. Morgan, Bart, was patron
in 1813. The church is dedicated to St. Mary.
