LUDDINGTON, a parish in the western division of the wapentake of MANLEY, parts of LINDSEY, county of LINCOLN, 5 miles (N. E. by B.) from Crowle, containing, with the township of Garthorp, 962 inhabitants. The living is a vicarage, in the archdeaconry of Stow, and diocese of Lincoln, rated in the king's books at £8. M. J. Lister, Esq. was patron in. 1824.* The church is dedicated to St. Oswald. There is a place of worship for Wesleyan Methodists.
