MARK, a parish in the hundred of BEMPSTONE, county of SOMERSET, 6 miles (S. W. by S.) from Axbridge, containing 1150 inhabitants. The living is a perpetual curacy, in the peculiar jurisdiction of the Cpnsistorial Decanal court of Wells, endowed with £30 per annum private benefaction, and £1200 parliamentary grant, and jn the patronage of the Earl of Harrowby. There is a place of worship for Wesleyan Methodists.
